Large Køben Bowl in Half Charred Oak

About a Japandi as one could get! This Køben bowl has been hand turned to our mid-century Scandinavian inspired Køben shape and once turned it has undergone the ancient Japanese technique of Yakisugi. The bowl was scorched with a 2000 degree flame to instantly char it and an abrasive was then used to remove the thin layer of loose charcoal and the process started again. After the second charring the surface was treated with a food-safe hardwearing blend of natural oils and waxes. The underside of this bowl contains the Bird and Branch logo at its centre.

This bowl will make a striking focal point in any interior and due to its food safe nature could also be used to display fruit or even be used at the table!
