Recently we bought a specific quarter sawn English Ash board with the intent to make a small collection of “half and half” works and this is the result! As well as being beautiful individual objects this collection gave us an opportunity to experiment with implied line when the pieces are shown as a group. Each piece was hand made on the lathe and is finished with a hard wearing blend of food safe oils and waxes which has retained the natural colour of the timber as it came from the tree.
